For stargazers, a good telescope will ensure endless hours observing the brilliant night sky, unobstructed by city lights.

In the hot summers the stream offers refreshing pools to cool off.

The Theerivier that flows through the valley is habitat for several endemic fish species including the critically endangered Tweerivier Redfin/Rooivlerkie.

Although you may be hard pressed to leave the comfort of the verandah, there is endless mountain terrain to explore on foot.

For the avid hiker, the mountains offer great walking trials, be sure to pack your water bottle and hiking shoes.

Sunrise and sunset over the mountains are spectacular, so remember to bring your camera.
